Sue presents “Tomatis Listening” a slide show for you
Thursday, June 23rd, 2011Why Tomatis?
Friday, April 29th, 2011Tomatis has a 75 year history begun by Dr Alfred Tomatis, a nose, ear and throat doctor from Paris. It is very carefully designed and rigorously implemented. As a result, the changes experienced are more predictable and lasting. At Listen For Change we have demonstrated change in language, attention, eye contact, mood, behavior, energy and stress in people of all ages. When considering a listening program, make sure you know you know exactly what you are getting. Many programs are based on Tomatis techniques and research, but they are not Tomatis.
Sue is presenting at International Tomatis Conference in Panama
Friday, April 1st, 2011I am pleased to report that I will be attending the International Tomatis Association (IARTC) Conference in Panama April 7th-10th, 2011. I have been asked to speak on the results of my work with an exceptionally articulate middle aged woman with life long auditory processing based learning disorders. I am thrilled to have an opportunity to share how Tomatis has changed her life, and the lives of those around her.The topic of this conference is Tomatis and the Voice. I have had excellent experience thus far using SoListen to help people find their voice and refine its use. I am so delighted when children begin to sing and adults on singing on key for the first time.
NAA Westchester Parent Discuss Tomatis
Friday, March 25th, 2011It was great to join this group of smart, well informed parents of children on the spectrum last Monday. They discussed many cutting edge therapies that they have been involved with. I was pleased when the conversation turned to listening programs. Among the 20 or so families represented, 6 had been through some form of Tomatis auditory training. They all agreed that they saw gains which did not dissipate over time. Among the gains reported were increased eye contact, decreased self stimulatory behaviors, and increased use of language. What a great evening! Thanks for the pizza and the company! Let’s do it again soon!
