Listen for Change has brought Tomatis to New York City! It has been many years since NY had a Tomatis Consultant. We are getting rave reviews from the language processing, wellness, theater and opera communities. Tomatis Consultant represents the highest level of Tomatis training offerred. A consultant can evaluate and custom blend an individualized program. As word spread, Sue has gotten an enthusiastic reception.
Most recently, RA (a Japanese Actress Client) comments that “Listen for Change” truly is listening for change, as her ears are now picking up nuances in sounds so her accent reduction work can proceed. She reports “her tongue is tired!” We can understand why! Nice work RA!

We had a Great Time at the Austim Speaks Walk!
Thursday, June 9th, 201135 of our staff, family and friends walked along with over 15,000 people in support Autism Speaks raising over $1.1 million. It was a beautiful day and the strong feeling of camaraderie in the fight find a cure was strong. The new location for the walk was excellent and we saw the site of the proposed new Brain Research Center of New York Presbyterian/Cornell. I was excited to met Dr. John Walkup who is spearheading this project. We are excited to learn more about each others work.
Why Tomatis?
Friday, April 29th, 2011Tomatis has a 75 year history begun by Dr Alfred Tomatis, a nose, ear and throat doctor from Paris. It is very carefully designed and rigorously implemented. As a result, the changes experienced are more predictable and lasting. At Listen For Change we have demonstrated change in language, attention, eye contact, mood, behavior, energy and stress in people of all ages. When considering a listening program, make sure you know you know exactly what you are getting. Many programs are based on Tomatis techniques and research, but they are not Tomatis.
